• I came for studies on the foundation course to Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University back in 2016 in order to become a highly trained spe-cialist in the sphere of technical physics. As Russia is notorious for its break-through researches in the field of physics and engineering and Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University is famous for its engineering and technical programs, I decided to appeal to the group of Russian State Universities RACUS in order to enter this University. Russia is a hospitable country and Saint-Petersburg is a very beautiful city with friendly people. I am studying at the foundation course, learning Russian language as well as improving my knowledge in major disciplines needed for my future specialization. • My name is Thulani Mtshweni, I’m from South Africa. I am currently studying Information Technology doing my second year in Nizhny Novgorod State University. I enjoy the courses, because it is very interesting learning about the world of computer programming. The course is challenging and it can be very difficult sometimes, but my tutors are very happy to help and answer all questions personally or via email if we would prefer. • Je suis à l'aise en Russie comme l'ambiance est très amicale. La Russie est un pays multinational et l'Université, où je fais mes études, est une université internationale: il y a beaucoup d'étudiants marocains et les étudiants de plus de 50 pays du monde. Les professeurs expliquent bien le matériel, c'est très intéressant aux cours mais il faut se préparer sérieusement. Ce n'est pas facile d'être médecin. A l'Université il y a des classes d'études bien équipées, des laboratoires, la bibliothèque, les complexes sportives. Je suis sûr que je deviendrai un bon médecin grâce au haut niveau de connaissance et au professionnalisme de nos professeurs. Je conseille à chacun qui veut devenir médecin de venir à l'Université d'Etat de médecine d'Astrakhan qui est devenue ma deuxième maison.

• Tambov State University is one of a kind. The facilities provided here are perfect for student life. Student receive personal attention and consultation from the professors. There is provision of free study material, opportunity to play all different kinds of sports and to participate in different cultural events. We get enough time to prepare for exams and to develop our hobbies. The hostels are clean and comfortable. It feels like my second home. Russia is a beautiful country. The standard of living is good. We get introduced not only to the Russian traditions but also to the traditions of other foreign students. My life has taken a new turn, my personality has boosted. Studying in Russia has helped me learn a lot in life. Hence I won't just graduate as a Doctor but as a confident individual.

• Après les résultats du baccalauréat, je savais que je ne pouvais pas faire la médecine en Tunisie donc je devais chercher ailleurs et j'ai choisi la Russie. Plusieurs médecins tunisiens qui ont eu leurs diplômes en Russie m'ont encouragé. En plus j'ai fait des recherches sur internet et j'ai trouvé que pas mal d'universités russes ont un bon niveau sur l'échelle mondiale du coup j'ai décidé d'aller voir le bureau de RACUS pour déposer mon dossier. Ma journée typique en 6éme année se passait entre l'hôpital le matin et l'université l'après midi. A part ça notre université nous offre plusieurs "Clubs": media, l'art, le sport et d'autres, quant à moi j’étais la présidente du club de sciences. On organisait des journées de portes ouvertes, des événements et des discussions avec les étudiants et les professeurs, c’était très intéressant et j'en suis vraiment fière. Ma journée typique en 6éme année se passait entre l'hôpital le matin et l'université l'après midi. A part ça notre université nous offre plusieurs "Clubs": media, l'art, le sport et d'autres, quant à moi j’étais la présidente du club de sciences. • J'ai choisi la Russie ne pas par hasard – mes frères aînés ont obtenu la formation supérieure en Russie et maintenant travaillent au Maroc. A vrai dire, je m'inquiétais un peu avant le départ en Russie, mais étant arrivé en Russie j'ai compris qu'il ne fallait pas m'inquiéter. Les russes sont des personnes très aimables et ont une bonne formation. Dès le début les représentants de RACUS m'ont aidé – à l'aéroport, au foyer et à l'Académie, donc à toutes les étapes. Je peux toujours m'adresser à eux et je sais qu'ils vont m'aider. A l'Académie il y a tout le nécessaire pour les études réussies. L'équipement technique des laboratoires et les technologies contemporaines de l'enseignement me plaisent beaucoup! Ce n'est pas facile d'étudier mais je veux avoir la formation supérieure de qualité et devenir un bon pharmacien. C'est mon but et je vais l'atteindre.

• En Russie je n'ai pas de difficultés. La vie ici est merveilleuse. Le niveau des études est très élevé. J'ai des amis maghrébins d'ailleurs mon colocataire est un tunisien. Je suggère aux algériens de ne pas rater l'occasion d'étudier en Russie, l'adaptation est très facile, il n'y a pas de racisme et les études sont excellentes. Je peux dire que la Russie est magnifique.

• My name is Onalenna Benedicte Ntonge. I'm doing my 5th year Bachelors of Medicine in Tambov State University. RACUS representative guided me through and helped me pick my University. Russia is the home for best medicine and best surgery. Was excited to get an opportunity to study here. I attended an endo-scopic cholecystectomy, surgical procedure to remove a gall bladder, made me think of being a surgeon for a while. Priceless moments. Moving in Russia is not that easy at first, because of the unbearable winter temperatures but once you get used to it, it feels like home away from home. Studying in my university is quite an experience, exciting learning experience. Learning is the integral part of daily activities and co-curricular activities are amazing. Need I say much? Come and experience for yourself.

• “Education in Astrakhan is wonderful; all the lessons educated here are so useful. Besides the education, the language is of importance due to communication, when going outside Russian language comes of to good use, and is very easy to learn if a student puts the interest and the effort. Life at the hostel is also pretty good. You get to life happily and comfortably with other foreign students. All the facilities are available to any extent. Life in Astrakhan is always good, although the weather could not be appealing at times especially in winter which starts at January and ends in March. There are lots of places to visit for many purposes. Overall I enjoy studying in Astrakhan and I would hope myriad amount of students would come from Sri Lanka to study here.”
